Role of a Solar Technician
Solar Technicians are the workers on the front line of the transition to renewable energy. A Solar Technician works in the field full-time, helping to assemble, install, and test both mechanical and electrical components of a solar array. At Next Generation Solar, technicians have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from large, utility-scale solar farms, to localized community solar installations, to small residential arrays.

Responsibilities:

Assemble racking, install modules for residential, commercial, and utility solar installations

Perform DC and AC electrical installation for large solar farms, including trenching, conduit assembly, wire management, and resistance testing

Perform routine electrical and mechanical maintenance on a variety of solar installations
